ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEALTH PLANS was started by a group of doctors in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1974. It is a non-profit company that has excellent financial ratings. It offers one of the largest provider networks in Colorado. Every county in Colorado is covered by this network. The prices are very competitive.

RMHP has an excellent comprehensive PPO plan entitled “SOLO Select” for individuals and families. This plan has low co pays for doctor visits and prescription medicines. You do not have to satisfy a deductible to visit doctors or receive prescription medicines. There is no limit on doctor visits or medicines.

Each member of the family will receive $ 2 million in benefits.

RMHP prices are very low! Your premium rate is locked in for one year. ( The exception to this is if your birthday moves you to the next age category of rates.)

Anthem BLUE CROSS & BLUE SHIELD’s “Lumenous HSA Plan” is very popular.

The prices are competitive. And the family policy allows the deductible to be shared by all members. If one member’s medical costs satisfies the deductible, the other family members do not have to satisfy the deductible for the remainder of the annual term.

The Lumenous HSA plan does not require you to open a health savings account. This is a voluntary option.

You receive a long list of free preventive services with this plan.
